Versions of Morning and Evening Prayer
The base text is the 1662 Orders for Morning and Evening Prayer, with the Athanasian Creed (plain text, source). Earlier and later rites are listed below, beginning with the Antiphonary of Bangor (translated by AnglicanGuide from the Latin), the English Prymer (lightly modernised by AnglicanGuide) and the Sarum hours (in J. D. Chambers’ 1852 translation); the original editions are linked. Public-domain texts are given in full; copyrighted modern rites, and texts not separately transcribed, have a short note and a link. Use the Compare tab on the Morning and Evening Prayer page to read any of them beside 1662.
