The Lord's Prayer and the Preces

Our Father. And lead us not. But deliver us.

We have sinned, O Lord, with our fathers. We have done unjustly, we have wrought iniquity.

O Lord, deal not with us after our sins. Neither reward us according to our iniquities.

Remember not our old iniquities. Let thy mercies speedily prevent us, for we are come to great misery.

Help us, O God of our salvation, and for the glory of thy Name, O Lord, deliver us. And be merciful unto our sins for thy Name's sake.

Remember thy congregation. Which thou hast possessed from the beginning.

Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness. And let thy saints rejoice.

O Lord, save the king. And hear us in the day when we call upon thee.

O Lord, save thy people, and bless thine inheritance. Govern them, and lift them up for ever.

Arise, O Lord, help us. And deliver us for thy Name's sake.

O Lord God of hosts, turn us again. Shew the light of thy countenance, and we shall be whole.

O Lord, hear my prayer. And let my cry come unto thee.

The Lord be with you. And with thy spirit.

The Collects

Prayer. O God, whose property is ever to have mercy and to spare, receive our petition: that those whom the chain of sins doth bind, the compassion of thy lovingkindness may absolve. Through Christ our Lord.

Prayer. O God, the strength of all them that put their trust in thee, mercifully accept our prayers: and because the weakness of our mortal nature can do nothing without thee, grant us the help of thy grace, that in keeping thy commandments we may please thee both in will and deed.

Prayer. O God, the protector of all that trust in thee, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: increase upon us thy mercy, that, thou being our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal that we finally lose not the things eternal.

Prayer. O God, unto whom every heart is open, and every will speaketh, and from whom no secret is hid: cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inpouring of thy Holy Spirit, that we may worthily love thee perfectly and praise thee worthily.

Prayer. Almighty and everlasting God, who alone workest great marvels: send down upon thy servant our Archbishop and upon all the congregation committed to him the Spirit of thy saving grace; and that they may please thee in truth, pour upon them the continual dew of thy blessing.

Prayer. O God, who by the grace of the Holy Spirit hast poured the gifts of charity into the hearts of thy faithful: grant to thy servants and handmaids, for whom we entreat thy mercy, health of mind and body, that they may love thee with all their strength, and with all their love perform those things that are pleasing to thee.

Prayer. Be present, O Lord, at our supplications, and order the way and the doings of thy servants in the prosperity of thy salvation: that among all the changes of this way and of this life they may ever be protected by thy help.

Prayer. O God, from whom all holy desires, all good counsels, and all just works do proceed: give unto thy servants that peace which the world cannot give; that our hearts may be set to obey thy commandments, and also that by thee, we being defended from the fear of our enemies, our times may be quiet under thy protection.

Prayer. O God, the Maker and Redeemer of all, grant to the souls of all thy servants and handmaids the remission of all their sins: that by our devout prayers they may obtain the pardon which they have always desired.

Prayer. Lord, we beseech thee, let thy grace ever protect us through the intercessions of all thy saints; and extend thy mercy everywhere to all Christians living and departed: that the living, defended from all assaults, may be saved by thy aid, and the departed may be found worthy to receive remission of all their sins. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

May the souls of the faithful through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
