The Prayers
Prayer: Deus cui proprium. God, to whom it is proper to be merciful ever, and to spare, take our prayer, and let the mercy of thy pity assoil them that be bounden with the chain of sins; by Christ, our Lord. Amen!
Prayer: Ecclesie tue. Lord, be thou pleased with the prayers of thy church, and grant that all errors and adversities be destroyed; by Christ, our Lord. Amen!
Prayer: Ure igne sancti spiritus. Lord, we beseech thee that thou burn our loins and our heart with the fire of the Holy Ghost, that we may serve to thee with chaste body, and please to thee with clean heart; by Christ, our Lord. Amen!
Prayer: Omnipotens sempiterne. Almighty God without end, that art endless health of all that believe in thee, hear our prayer for all men and women, for which we beseech to thy goodness; and grant them health of body and soul, so that when they be whole, they may yield thankings to thee in thy church; by Christ, our Lord. Amen!
Prayer: Pietate tua quesumus, Domine. For thy pity, Lord, we beseech thee, unbind the bonds of all our sins; and through the prayer of the glorious everlasting maid Mary, with all thy saints, keep us thy servants, and our king, and all Christian people, in all holiness; and all that by kindred of blood, or by homeliness, or by prayer, be oned with us, cleanse them of all vices, and lighten them with virtues! Peace and health give to us; and put from us our enemies, both those that we see and those that we may not see. Give thy charity to our friends and to our enemies; and health to all sick; and to all Christian, quick and dead, grant life and endless rest; by Christ, our Lord. Amen.
